We bet you wonder how shoes can fly, or what a Fleip or Fact machine can look like? We have good news for you: you can visit the cultural school KNUDEN’s premises at Silokaia in Norway to see and test these amazing Dream Machines .

There, you will be able to discover Flying Shoes, the Fleip or Fact machine, and other wild inventions made in collaboration between primary school classes, vocational secondary classes, university students, and artistic expertise, with mentor help from Glencore Nickel Works, NOV, and the workshop at Kilden.

This year’s MyMachine exhibition opening took place, with engaging words from County Mayor of Agder Arne Thomassen, flanked by Director of Innovation and Cooperation in Kristiansand Municipality Bernt Jørgen Stray and County Director of Innovation and Organizational Development in Agder County Municipality, Knut Lindland who was in charge of the confetti party.

And on top of it all, Agder Fylkeskommune , Kilden Dialog , Growth, Research and Innovation at Kristiansand kommune , Innovation and Organizational Development in Knuden – Kristiansand Kulturskole and Center for Vocational and Work Training at UiA joined forces in a workshop on how to further develop MyMachine in Norway. This session was joined by MyMachine Co-Founder Filip Meuris, who shared the history of the development of MyMachine and the core values of MyMachine.

We look forward to taking the dream machines to this year’s Palmesus Junior on 4 July! Thanks to Palmesus, which has given all of this year’s children involved in MyMachine free entry in return for contributing their interactive installations—by children, for children.

Big thank you to all students and educators involved, and to Nikkelverk, UiA – University of Agder and Kilden Dialog for this year’s collaboration. This year’s involved artists are Doctor Superhelga /Marte Johanne Ekhougen, Frode Holgersen and Erica Solvoll.

And many thanks to our amazing MyMachine Norway team at UiA!
