The MyMachine Flanders & Brussels (Belgium) Final Exhibition 2024 was again a great success this year!
On May 23 and 24 it was slightly quieter in the Design Museum in Brussels than on other days. Students from primary schools throughout the country travelled to the capital to test out their Dream Machines of their own invention. Under the guidance of university students from Howest in Kortrijk and PXL in Hasselt, they enjoyed testing their own Dream Machine, as well as those co-created by other schools. The icing on the cake after many months of hard work to realize those working prototypes!
For example, they could fly like a bird with the “Wings 2.0”, they were rewarded with candy at the “Reward Machine”, and they could kick a ball at the “Kiprodroni”. The “Blijbot” (happiness bot), the craziest go-cart ever, the MyMachine game and the “Anti-boring machine 2.0” also provided a lot of fun. With “DJ Dumbo the Brush”, an elephant with a built-in vacuum cleaner, they were able to clean up everything and thus perform an otherwise less popular job in a fun way. You could take a breather from all those sports and games in the cosy “Try to Be Happy house”, filled with soft, cuddly bears.
Or were they literally thrown out of their bed with the “Bed & Bam”:
And if that wasn’t enough, in addition to their visit to the MyMachine exhibition, the students also had the opportunity to discover the Design Museum Brussels and the iconic Atomium.
Thank you so much to all students and educators involved! And to our partners a.o. Vlaio and KPMG, who support MyMachine Flanders & Brussels!
