We are very proud to share that MyMachine has been selected by the global education nonprofit HundrED, in its 5th Global Innovation Collection, HundrED 2022, highlighting the brightest innovations in education from around the world. The goal is to inspire a movement by helping pedagogically sound, ambitious innovations spread and adapt to multiple contexts across the world.
HundrED just announced this news today, Wednesday November 3rd 2021, at their HundrED 2021 Summit! MyMachine was one of the keynote speakers in last year’s edition. Yet again we have been part of the Opening Event, giving a brief update on the past year for MyMachine, which was remarkable. MyMachine Co-Founder & Managing Director Piet Grymonprez could in his capacity as HundrED Innovator of the Year 2021, pass the baton to my (well deserved) successor!
MyMachine was selected in the last 2 years as well. But the annual selection starts from scratch every year; which means that being a HundrED 2021 Innovator does not guarantee receiving this new 2022 title. In fact only 37% of last year’s selection was reselected this year. This means that MyMachine has been selected in 2019, 2020, and 2021! Which truly is remarkable!
Yet again this is a grand global recognition giving an important push for all of the MyMachine team members worldwide to continue to grow our impact on students, teachers, professors and businesses and organisations. We are very proud that MyMachine has been selected again by HundrED, and this is all because of the commitment, hard work and leadership of our team! So a very big thank our team and all participating students and educators!
Finland is a country that gets a lot of international recognition for having one of the world’s best educational systems. Here’s an article by Smithsonian Mag explaining why. This is how the World Economic Forum explains the succes of Finland. Finland now pointing the attention towards MyMachine, makes it an amazing recognition of our endeavour.
Saku Tuominen, Chairman & Creative Director of HundrED, said: “Spreading innovations such as MyMachine across borders can be a gamechanger for education, worldwide. We will continue to encourage as many stakeholders as possible including schools, educators, administrators, students and organizations to get involved so that we can work towards a positive future.”
