World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.
In MyMachine, we have the exclusive privilege to work with amazing teachers every day. Wo do so in 2 ways:
- by establishing MyMachine Chapters (11 so far) around the world, we have boots on the ground in 10 Countries on 3 continents, creating local partnerships with educators in primary, university and vocational/technical secondary schools;
- with MyMachine DreamsDrop we establish cross-border collaboration in collaboration with teachers from over 25 countries on all continents.
We truly see the impact educators are having around the globe. We try to contribute to their mission of creating a context in which students can match their passions and talents, enabling them to thrive.
Here’s a glimpse of what happened at a MyMachine Work-in-Progress event: when two primary school students were expressing their excitement of exploring (at the University) the concepts for these new Dream Machines, their teachers immediately responded in the same way.
Today, more than on any other day, we salute you Teachers for the amazing work you do! And many times in rigid system that doesn’t allow much creativity and freedom. That is why we try to deliver our bit in transforming the outdated systems, enabling all of us to help prepare our youth for this future that none of us can grasp.
