In recent weeks, another important step was taken in the MyMachine methodology. In Flanders (Belgium) students in technical/vocational secondary education enthusiastically got to work on the realisation of the Working Prototype, the third step in the MyMachine trajectory.
In this phase, the original idea of the children from primary school and the concept of the college students are made tangible. Under the supervision of their teachers, the students from the technical secondary schools work with different materials and techniques to bring the design to life.
This is an incredible opportunity for the children to discover the workshop of the technical/vocational secondary school, learn what such production entails, and they can also lend a hand themselves! Wood, metal, plastics, 3D-prints, electronics, electricity, welding, it’s all part of the wonderful world of STEM. This step is surely one of the many highlights of this intergenerational co-creation process!
