Last week, we announced that MyMachine Wallonie’s (Belgium) creativity is hitting an all-time high, now, we’re here to touch base on MyMachine Flanders & Brussels’ kick-off. Because the new MyMachine season in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium has also started! Students in primary schools in all provinces of this region have been invited to invent their Dream Machine.
These purely free-thinking minds see only opportunities. Traditional knowledge frameworks do not limit them. This is paramount because old habits do not open new doors. If we genuinely want breakthroughs in cancer treatment, space technology, mobility, clean energy, poverty, then we need to nurture those who dare to think differently.
And those groundbreaking —frequently perceived as crazy— ideas, come from those who have the guts to express and test them. They have what it takes: creative confidence. They go beyond the fear of the unknown, the fear of taking the first step, the fear of losing control, and the fear of being judged.
That is precisely what is happening now in MyMachine Flanders and Brussels! We can’t wait to hear about what they have invented. Stay tuned!
