We’re thrilled to announce that MyMachine is starting up in the Czech Republic!
We are fortunate to partner with FabLab Brno. This non-profit will deliver to Czech schools the opportunity to step into a space where imagination meets innovation, where children’s ideas are taken seriously, and where students at all levels work together to bring those ideas to life.
FabLab Brno is leading a national STEM initiative in close collaboration with universities, high-tech companies, and the public sector. Our shared goal is to get more students excited about science, technology, engineering, and design — not just by teaching technical skills, but by showing them how powerful their ideas can be when they’re given room to grow.
“We want to ignite passion for science and technology — not just teach hard skills,” says Tomáš Mejzlík, founder of MyMachine Czechia and managing director of FabLab Brno. “If we want to make a real difference, we need to create a movement — one that builds momentum and draws attention from the media and the public. We want people to feel part of something bigger — a shift in perception, a change in paradigm. Our goal? To make science and technology mainstream.”
Bringing MyMachine to Czechia is a natural step for Fablab Brno. “Through MyMachine, we can help students see STE(A)M(D) not as a subject to memorise, but as an adventure to explore. As we launch MyMachine, we’re already working with schools and teachers who are eager to be part of this journey. Together, we’re not only creating Dream Machines — we’re helping young people discover that their ideas matter, and that they have the power to shape the world around them,” says Dominika Franeková, leading MyMachine Czechia in collaboration with Tereza Cinka and Monika Křenková (left to right on the picture).
MyMachine Czechia will start its very first cycle in a couple of weeks with schools in the region of Brno. We are very grateful to our MyMachine team in Czechia and are looking forward to meeting the very first Dream Machines from the young, inspiring minds in Czechia!
