Step 3 in MyMachine Flanders (Belgium) is on a roll. Over the past few weeks, several primary school classes from the East to the West have visited vocational/technical secondary schools to see firsthand the progress of their ideas during an inspiring workshop. Each and every one of these sessions was filled with enthusiasm, collaboration and creativity.
In this phase, secondary school students from various disciplines are working tirelessly together to bring the Dream Machines to life. From a Sweet Machine and a spectacular Flippy Tony Pony (pony somersault machine) to the Wobbly 3D and an Innovative Gift Machine: every project is taking shape thanks to the efforts of multiple technical skills combining technology and imagination.
The children are actively involved: they are given a guided tour, explore the workshops, learn new STEM techniques, and, on top of that, get creative in developing their Dream Machine. In this way, they experience firsthand how their idea becomes reality, step by step.
What makes this phase particularly special is the interaction between young and old(er). Primary and secondary school students reinforce and inspire one another, and together they continue to build something unique.
In short: the Dream Machines are in full development… and the end result is getting a little closer every day. Just a little more patience until they come fully to life!
