The 2025 MyMachine Expo in Norway!

“MyMachine is more than an exhibition; it is an important initiative that promotes the joy of creation, curiosity and interest in science, art and vocational subjects. It is a bridge between dreams and reality, between theory and practice, and between generations. Here, children discover that their ideas have value, that they can create something new, and that the world needs their creativity”, Rune André Sørtveit Frustøl, Opening speech MyMachine exhibition 2025.

What a blast, celebrating this year’s magical MyMachine Norway exhibition. Thanks to everyone who came and contributed, including elementary school students, vocational students, and representatives from the municipality, county, arts, culture, and business sectors. The exhibition will be available to everyone until the end of the school year, before it is transported to Palmesus Junior.

Here’s the whole opening speech by the head of the central committee for education and public health, Rune André Sørtveit Frustøl:

Dear all, young and old, curious and creative!
It is with great joy and pride that we will open this year’s MyMachine exhibition today – a unique and inspiring celebration of creativity, collaboration and the joy of creation.
MyMachine is a fantastic initiative that highlights how ideas conceived by children can become real, functioning machines. It starts with their fresh and imaginative thoughts, and then these ideas come to life through the knowledge of students at the University of Agder – both from engineering and art. But the journey does not stop there. The Dream Machines take shape and become reality, thanks to upper secondary school students in technical subjects and construction.
What we see here today is the result of a remarkable process: from idea to tangible reality. These are not just machines – this is proof of what can happen when we unite children’s boundless imagination with the competence and passion of students.
MyMachine is more than an exhibition; It is an important initiative that promotes creativity, curiosity and interest in science, art and vocational subjects. It is a bridge between dreams and reality, between theory and practice, and between generations. Here, children discover that their ideas have value, that they can create something new, and that the world needs their creativity.
We must not forget an essential player in this: the private sector. Their commitment and support make it possible to realise such projects. A big thank you to you for helping to build a bridge between education and working life, and for investing in the next generation of creators and problem solvers.
So, to you children who have come up with these ideas: Thank you very much for making us think big and new. To the students and pupils who have developed and built these Dream Machines: thank you for your work and dedication. Let’s explore and let’s be inspired – together!
With this, I declare the MyMachine exhibition officially open!

Thank you so much to our amazing team of MyMachine Norway!
