The second cycle of MyMachine Armenia reached a major milestone last week, moving from childhood dreams to engineering reality. Hosted at the American University of Armenia (AUA) in Yerevan, the event marked the official kickoff of the Concept Phase, where the whimsical ideas of primary school children begin their transformation into technical designs.
Following the successful ideation sessions held earlier this year, students from the AUA Akian College of Science and Engineering took the stage to present their initial design concepts. These Dream Machines, originally invented and drawn by children from Dilijan, range from the fantastical to the highly practical.
AUA students showcased technical schemes and scale models, explaining how they translated these imaginative visions into functional engineering plans, and got feedback on them. This resembles a meeting at a production company, examining first concepts and their pros and cons. A great way to learn these skills for their future jobs.
We’re very excited to see how their designs and early prototypes turn out!
