“It’s amazing how a program about making children’s dreams come true can teach you so much about real engineering and innovation. You think you’re helping kids, but really, you’re learning how to be creative again yourself“, says Barbora Stupavska, student at TUKE University in Kosice, Slovakia.
BSH Slovakia is a proud sponsor of MyMachine Slovakia. The company partners with MyMachine because “Innovation isn’t just about making better washing machines or dishwashers. It’s about investing in young people who think differently, who can bring fresh perspectives“, says Jermey.
BSH sat down with three University students at TUKE University, one of the pioneering universities from the very start of MyMachine Slovakia. Barbora, Radoslava Buráková, and Adam Smotrila talked about their experience, the challenges they faced, and what they learned from it.
“Even just for personal growth, it’s worth it. My communication improved, I learned to work with people from totally different backgrounds. These are skills you’ll need no matter what you do later“, says Adam.
Radoslava added, “I recommend it to every student who has the desire and willingness to work on themselves, think creatively, but also, like an engineer, broaden their horizons, and help fulfil children’s dreams. Just be prepared for their energy and open minds“!
